PEG PAC ENDORSES JOYCE HAAS IN 77TH HOUSE DISTRICT
(Harrisburg) PEG PAC, the affiliated political action committee of the Pennsylvania Business Council (PBC), today announced its endorsement of Joyce Haas in the 77th House District. Haas is challenging incumbent state Representative Scott Conklin (D-Centre).
“Joyce Haas supports policies that will create economic growth and family sustaining jobs. Her focus will be on reducing the tax burden on all Pennsylvania citizens and businesses while eliminating wasteful government spending,” said David W. Patti, President & CEO of the PBC.
According to Patti, Haas supports a number of pro-growth tax policies including: reducing the rate of the Corporate Net Income (CNI) tax; making the CNI solely based on sales; eliminating the Capital Stock & Franchise Taxes; and removing the cap on carrying forward net operating losses.
She believes reforms to Pennsylvania’s legal system, like enacting the Fair Share Act and imposing caps on non-economic damages, are essential to bring fairness and certainty to the system.
“Joyce Haas has been actively involved in her community for many years, and if elected she will be a strong voice for the residents of the 77th District. She clearly understands that excessive taxes and regulation are prohibiting economic growth and job creation. She will fight for the policies that will make Pennsylvania a competitive and prosperous state. PEG PAC is proud to support Joyce Haas for the state House,” concluded Patti.
PEG PAC seeks to elect candidates for office who offer the best capacity to create and sustain a better Pennsylvania. PEG PAC supports candidates who are best for the business community without regard to political party membership. PEG PAC supports candidates for office with financial contributions, campaign consulting, and grassroots action.
